ECD Visit to Hatfields Restoration

26-28 Sidney Road, London SW9 0TS | 6pm

A look behind the scenes at one the world's leading restoration workshops.

We are excited to offer a rare opportunity to step inside Hatfields. Founded in 1834 as a bronze and ormolu foundry, Hatfields has evolved to specialise in the restoration and conservation of 18th and 19th century English and French furniture and still holds one of the most extensive ormolu archives in the world.

The tour will be led by the workshop manager, who will give us a detailed look at current projects – we will also have the chance to explore the work of the specialist lacquer and gilding worker and the projects of the resident picture framer.

This visit is free and solely for members of the Early Career Development (ECD) group; however, attendance must be booked in advance.  For more information, or to request access to the ECD WhatsApp group, please contact the Grants Secretary at grants@furniturehistorysociety.org, who will put you in touch with the co-ordinators.
