Membership
The Furniture History Society publishes occasional special volumes including the ground-breaking Dictionary of English Furniture Makers 1660-1840 (1986), edited by Geoffrey Beard and Christopher Gilbert and Christopher Gilbert’s complementary Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture (1996), as well as Simon Jervis’s Printed Furniture Designs before 1650 (1974), a unique corpus of some 450 early European designs.

Thomas Chippendale the Younger at Stourhead
