Arnold Wiggins & Sons are picture framers providing both antique and reproduction frames for Old Master and Modern paintings and works on paper.  Wiggins are renowned for their craftsmanship and we shall see examples from their extensive stock of antique European frames from the fifteenth to the twentieth century and ranging from small cabinet frames to the largest ‘gallery’ frames.  During this evening visit we also will learn about the current Fire Judge Frames, a small selection of which are currently on show in the Gallery, having been sold to Arnold Wiggins in 1952, and which remain a unique example of the auricular fashion of the seventeenth century.
